Open Conservation Lab at MOA

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes with the museum’s conservation staff? Members are invited to join us for a brief information session in the Community Lounge followed by a tour of MOA’s Conservation Lab and Collections areas.

You will see some of the objects that we have been working on in our modern facility. We will also demonstrate some of our state-of-the-art preservation equipment, including the XRF, cavitron and snakescope.

At the end of the tour there will be a Q&A session with MOA conservators. This is a great opportunity to ask museum staff about how to care for your personal treasures.

This event is open to MOA members exclusively. RSVP required.

Stay tuned for another behind-the-scenes event at MOA.
