Saturday, February 11 | 10am – 1pm
Offsite location: ArtStarts Gallery downtown
Join MOA at the ArtStarts Gallery downtown to celebrate Family Day!
Explore a special MOA pop-up gallery featuring imagery from the exhibition Layers of Influence: Unfolding Cloth Across Cultures. Families will also have the opportunity to engage with Tsimshian Chilkat weavings and materials.
Families are invited to join fibre artist Rebecca Graham for a workshop: The Magic of Making Cloth. Play with pinning loose fibres into long, strong, yarns, weave on a simple loom, and discover a variety of tools and materials – you’ll be amazed at the skill and ingenuity of our ancestors from around the world.
Don’t forget to celebrate on Sunday with ArtStarts at the Museum of Anthropology!
