Sunday, November 20 — 11am & 1pm
Across history, clothing has been worn as an external expression of our spiritual beliefs, social status, and individual identities. This is the first workshop in a three-part series (saris, kimonos, and West African cloth) that accompanies the exhibition Layers of Influence: Unfolding Cloth Across Cultures.
MOA invites you to learn more about the cultural and historical context behind the sari. Come examine their beauty up close and learn how to wear and drape a sari from local community members.
