MOA is delighted to welcome Liz Cortens as the Museum’s new Facilities Manager.

Liz is a Red Seal journeyperson millwright with over 15 years of experience in both maintenance and manufacturing. They most recently served as a sub-head millwright with UBC Building Operations and has worked across a range of industries throughout their career. Liz brings a deep knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance and project management.

At MOA, they are responsible for overseeing the Museum’s building systems and infrastructure, ensuring everything operates safely, efficiently and in support of exhibitions and programs. With a strong combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience, Liz plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the Museum’s facilities.

Liz is excited to be joining the MOA team and looks forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
