The workshop begins with an exploration of textiles on display in the galleries and textile samples you can see up close. Then ceramics artist-in-residence Denise Jeffrey will demonstrate and lead a session of incising and inlaying your textile-inspired motif on your chosen ceramic cup, bowl or plate. Enjoy an informal chat with Denise as you create your own unique work of art.
Tip: Bring your own “stamping” objects such as stamp tools, cookie cutters, or even bottle tops to personalize your ceramic work. All other materials will be provided.
Tip: We invite you to explore the selection of textiles in the Multiversity Galleries prior to the workshop. After you’ve registered, please contact programs@moa.ubc.ca to receive the list of objects in advance of the workshop.
For more information, please contact Nadin Hassan, Public Programs Assistant: programs@moa.ubc.ca

As per provincial orders, all special event participants 12 and older will be required to provide proof of vaccination (ie. BC Vaccine Card). MOA reserves the right to deny entry or participation to anyone who doesn’t comply with MOA’s stated policies, procedures and visitor code of conduct.
