Spooky Stories with Yolngu Filmmaker Ishmael Marika

Join MOA on Halloween night for a unique and intimate conversation and screening with Indigenous filmmaker Ishmael Marika (Yolngu) from Australia’s Northern Territory.
Get your thrill on with a screening of his short horror movie, Galka, inspired by Yolngu mythology. Plus, you’ll watch his film, Gupa Ga Gunda, about the art of Nonggirrnga Marawili, one of the nine women artists whose works will be displayed in MOA’s new exhibition, Marking the Infinite: Contemporary Women Artists from Aboriginal Australia, opening November 1.
