SOLD OUT—The Impression We Leave Behind: Ceramics Workshop with Cheryl Stapleton
Saturday January 18, 2020 | 12 – 4 pm
Join renowned ceramic artist and teacher Cheryl Stapleton for a ceramic exploration and workshop at MOA.
Sculpt your own clay cup, mould your personal story into this every day object, and create a unique and meaningful work of art. Participants will also enjoy a tour of MOA’s new feature exhibition, Playing with Fire: Ceramics of the Extraordinary, and learn about fire glazing and the history of ceramics in North America. Bring your own decorations and objects such as jewelry, lace or even bottle tops to personalize your cup. All other materials provided.
Cheryl Stapleton is an artist, educator and pottery studio technician based in Vancouver and an alumna of Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She has managed the Roundhouse Pottery Studio since 1999 and the studio at West Point Grey since 2002. For over 20 years Cheryl has taught ceramics classes to both children and adults at Kwantlen University, the Surrey Arts Centre, the Vancouver School Board, and the Roundhouse and West Point Grey community centres.
