Montana Cardinal

“Everyone was given a gift by the creator and it is our duty to share those gifts… That’s what I try to do with my art.”

Montana is a beadwork artist from Wabasca, Alberta. She is a member of the Bigstone Cree First Nation, located in Treaty 8 Territory. In addition to her beadwork, Montana is an academic. She holds a bachelor of arts in native studies from the University of Alberta, and she recently graduated from the faculty of law/Indigenous legal studies program at the University of British Columbia.
