Ceramic Visual Identities with Cheryl Stapleton

February 7, 14, 21, 28, 2020 | 10 am – 12 pm

Join renowned ceramic artist and teacher Cheryl Stapleton for a ceramic exploration at MOA. Designed for grades 9–12, this workshop focuses on identity and sustainability. The two-hour workshop includes hands-on clay experiments and complements the temporary exhibition, Playing with Fire: Ceramics of the Extraordinary, opening November 21, 2019.

In the hands-on workshop, students have the opportunity to mold their own cup out of self-drying clay. The artist will make cups for students to paint their own personal tattoo design. After firing, students will get their tattooed cups with their own unique visual identity and a symbol of sustainable multi-use practices.

Fee: $14/student (taxes included)
Grades: 9–12
Materials included
Limit of one class per workshop
