Student Positions
Museum Student Assistants
MOA regularly provides part-time employment for UBC students in the Shop, Admissions and as tour guides and event assistants.

Work Learn
The Work Learn Program supports and subsidizes meaningful work experiences on campus. All current UBC students who are registered in credit courses at UBC and have a valid at UBC student number are eligible to apply. Students must have a valid social insurance number before they can be paid by UBC.
Summer Term (May – August): Students can work up to 20 hours per week.
Winter Term (September – April): Students can work up to 10 hours per week.

Internships
Indigenous Internship Program
The Indigenous Internship Program provides training opportunities for Indigenous people working in museums or Indigenous people who would like to do this kind of work. There will be two annual calls for applicants: Spring and Fall. Placements are 10 weeks, 35 hours per week but may be adjusted to part-time, over a longer duration in order to meet family or community needs.
Collections Practicum
MOA’s Collections Management department accepts applications for an annual Collections Practicum placement. The practicum is unpaid and restricted to Canadian students who are currently enrolled in a college or university museum studies training program requiring a practicum placement as part of its curriculum.
Conservation Internships
MOA’s Conservation department accepts applications for Conservation Interns for two annual internship periods: summer (May – August) and fall (September – December). Internships are open to students who are enrolled in a conservation training program and who require an internship placement as part of their graduating requirements.
Native Youth Program
The Native Youth Program (NYP) is a summer program for urban Indigenous youth, ages 15 to 18, currently enrolled in secondary school. Each year, this summer job opportunity is a full training and work experience that offers up to eight Indigenous high school students a chance to explore their identity through art and culture and to learn about MOA, UBC and its programs.
