Xicanx: Zine-Making Workshop
Sunday May 15, 2022 | 11 am – 1 pm
Stop by MOA to learn about zines, and make your own in this drop-in workshop.
Zines are self-published works using diverse media, including text, drawing, collaging, and more. During this workshop, participants will take inspiration from works in MOA’s new feature exhibition, Xicanx: Dreamers + Changemakers/Soñadores + creadores del cambio, to create their own zines exploring identity and activism. MOA’s Education Coordinator, Amina Chergui, will lead this workshop and share examples of zines and describe how their makers independently distribute transformative ideas and knowledge.
This workshop is designed for youth, but all are welcome to join. (Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult).
Limited supplies; first come, first served.
