With close to two decades of experience spanning museums, cultural policy, civic initiatives and the creative industries, Hanna is known for driving systemic change and charting new pathways in the arts, culture and GLAM sectors. She brings a strong track record of advancing institutional transformation through inclusive engagement, cross-sector collaboration and strategic vision.

Hanna has held senior roles at the Royal BC Museum, the Museum of Vancouver and creative technology firm ngx, where she led high-impact projects for institutions including the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Parks Canada and the Perlan Museum in Iceland. Beyond her institutional work, she has shaped national cultural policy conversations, driven strategic growth across sectors and launched international collaborations that strengthen Canada’s global cultural positioning.

“We’re honoured to welcome Hanna to MOA,” says MOA Director Susan Rowley. “Hanna’s thoughtful and strategic direction will help transform MOA for a new chapter in the museum’s history. Her extensive experience across museums and cultural spaces will open new possibilities for our institution and exemplify to the world a new generation of cultural leadership.”

Known for her cross-sector fluency and her ability to navigate complexity with clarity and care, Hanna has built a reputation as a strategic thinker, connector and collaborative leader. Her leadership style is grounded in cultural diplomacy, relational practice and outcomes-based execution.

At MOA, Hanna leads the newly formed Projects and Relations department, overseeing strategic initiatives, exhibition planning, marketing and institutional partnerships. Her portfolio also includes oversight of the Museum’s library and archives, advancement activities and the Indigenous Internship Program, supporting MOA’s commitments to engagement, equity and knowledge-sharing.
